Constitution High School

Constitution High school is a public College preparatory magnet High School in Center city Philadelphia. This school is in a district that mainly serve students of color and receive substantially less state and local support than similar districts that serve privileged students of Philadelphia. The total minority enrollment is 97%, and 99% of the students are economically disadvantaged.

Medha USA established a Scholarship program in Constitution HS through its Chemistry teacher, Dr.Tirthankar Ghosh. Before being a teacher Dr. Ghosh spent over 25 years in corporate Research & Development in the chemical industry. He received his BS and MS from Jadavpur University (Calcutta) and his PhD from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Medha was honored to present Scholarship Awards of $1000 each to two deserving college bound students from Constitution High School on June 11, 2025.

Siddiq Baker will be attending Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to pursue a career as an electrician.

Alison Bravo will be attending Thomas Jefferson University with the intended major of Pre-medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences.

Medha was honored to present Scholarship Awards of $1000 each to two deserving college bound students from Constitution High School.

Ruthshela Choute is a senior at Constitution High School.  Ruth is a member of National Honor Society and has excelled academically while she has been a student here.  She is very focused on her STEM classes, taking special pride in her AP calculus AB class, one in which she found some struggle but ultimately succeeded with an A average.  Ruth is a hard worker and enjoys surrounding herself with her peers here in school.  She takes pride in being part of this community.  She will be attending Temple University in the fall of 2024 and work towards her goal of earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. 

Lulu Jabbie, a current senior at Constitution High School, is involved in many aspects of the high school community.  Lulu has continuously strived for greatness and has set herself up for success in the medical field by completing rigorous coursework. She has also learned a lot about herself by working inside and outside of school. Being part of a larger team of workers has allowed her to grow her leadership abilities and teamwork traits such as empathy, confidence, and strong communication. Lulu will be attending West Chester University in the fall of 2024.
